After coaching quake: Has Chelsea found a successor?

The “Blues” parted ways with Enzo Maresca just a few days ago. Now it is becoming increasingly clear who will succeed the Italian in the coaching bench.
Club world champions FC Chelsea have apparently found what they are looking for in their search for a new team manager. A few days after Enzo Maresca’s departure, Liam Rosenior, currently coach of the French first division club Racing Strasbourg, is said to have met with those responsible at Chelsea in London. As his club announced in the evening, the 41-year-old Englishman wants to speak about his future at a press conference at the Stade de la Meinau on Tuesday morning (9.30 a.m.).
There are many indications that Rosenior will succeed Maresca, who was fired on New Year’s Day following a crisis meeting with the Blues. At Strasbourg they are already “active behind the scenes to find a replacement for him” who should take a place on the bench of the seventh-place team in Ligue 1 “as soon as possible”, as the AFP news agency reported, citing a source close to the club.
Meanwhile, the Alsatian club’s training session on Monday was led by Rosenior’s assistants Jean-Marc Kuentz and Filipe Coelho. Chelsea and Strasbourg belong to the US consortium BlueCo.
