The number 14 seems to have a very special meaning for singer Miley Cyrus (30). Because Miley’s ex-husband Liam Hemsworth (33) is rumored to have cheated on her with 14 (!) Women.
It’s nothing new that pop stars sing about their personal lives in their songs. Miley does it too. The former Disney star had the biggest success of her career earlier this year with her single “Flowers”.
No wonder her fans couldn’t wait for her new album after this self-love anthem. The wait was over on Friday. With her eighth album “Endless Summer Vacation” she does not disappoint her fans. It went straight to number 1 on the American iTunes charts – and ex-husband Liam Hemsworth is not spared.
Miley met Liam on the set of the 2010 film The Last Song. The couple was engaged for the first time two years later, but separated in 2013. They got back together and married in 2018 – until the final marriage-off in 2019.
One of her new songs: “Muddy Feet” which was created in collaboration with singer Sia (47). The song reveals juicy details about how the actor’s infidelity was exposed.
Miley Cyrus sings, “I don’t know if you know who you’re messing with here. Get out of my house with that shit, get out of my life with that shit.”
But that is not how it remains.
She adds: “You smell like a perfume that I didn’t buy. Now I know why you drew the curtains.”
Ouch! So she found out about the other scent and his funny behavior.
Another song from her new album strikes a softer note when it comes to the failed romance. The song “Jaded” is about missed opportunities – and Miley seems to admit that she feels weighed down by everything left unsaid.
Hinting that Liam failed to take responsibility for the marriage’s failure, Miley continues, “You’re not even ready to see your part, you just jump in the car and drive down to the bar until you’re blurry .”
The 30-year-old not only processes her last relationship in her lyrics. In the corresponding videos, too, she repeatedly incorporates some elements to remind of Liam’s infidelity.
For example in the song “Rivers” where she uses 14 men as dancers. Liam is said to have cheated on her with just as many women.
The music video for her #1 hit “Flowers” also alludes to her ex, as it was filmed in the very house where Liam is said to have been unfaithful to her.
