Lewandowski wants to leave: “Bayern’s story is over”, football | Bundesliga – BR – Regional

Those responsible at Bayern must have heard this with great displeasure: At a press conference of the Polish national team, Robert Lewandowski said: “My story at Bayern is over. I can’t imagine another good cooperation.” So far, the Munich management has repeatedly emphasized that the world footballer still has a valid contract and has to fulfill it.

Lewandowski obviously sees things differently and hopes Bayern will not “keep him just because they can. A transfer is the best solution for all sides.”

“Spain is a good place – not just for holidays”

Lewandowski, whose contract runs until 2023, had previously flirted with a move to FC Barcelona. “Spain is great,” enthused the star player on the sidelines of the Formula 1 race in Monaco on the Polish TV channel Eleven Sports PL. “We have a house in Mallorca,” Lewandowski continued, “the feeling for Spain is there and I think it’s a really good place – not just for vacationing there.”

But also to play football there as early as summer if possible? “It’s hard to say whether I’ll still play for Bayern next season,” said Lewandowski: A move to Barca depends “on several factors”. I think my situation is clear and there’s no point in talking about it….” Heavily indebted FC Barcelona are reportedly offering Bayern Munich a €32m fee.
