The Polish national soccer team around ex-Bayern striker and Barca star Robert Lewandowski won their friendly match against Latvia. In Warsaw, coach Michal Probierz’s team celebrated a 2-0 (1-0).
Przemyslaw Frankowski (RC Lens) opened for the Poles (8th). In the second half, Lewandowski scored and increased the score to 2-0 (48th). Poland says goodbye to the international year with a decent form.
In March 2024, the red-whites will be in the playoffs for the European Championship in Germany.
After a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic on Friday, Lewandowski and Co. missed direct qualification. It would be the fifth European Championship participation.
