Letter with unknown powder found in Kortrijk police court

Four employees came into contact with the letter and possibly with the white powder. They had to be quarantined.

The cover also contained a newspaper article about a criminal case from the criminal court, with the writing ‘The major criminals are in the courts’.

Toxic?

A team from the Civil Protection Department, CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear substances, ed.)went to Kortrijk to take a sample of the powder.

Initial findings show that the letter contains lime powder. At first glance harmless, the substance may be mixed with something toxic.
