Bilal Ould-Chikh will be in the stands at FC Volendam – Ajax tomorrow afternoon. The attacker remains suspended because of his red card against Fortuna Sittard. The club had lodged an appeal with the KNVB. The disciplinary committee imposed a sentence of two matches on Ould-Chikh, one of which was suspended.
The KNVB prosecutor proposed a three-match suspension, one of which is conditional. Ould Chikh hit Fortuna player George Cox at knee height just before half-time last Sunday.
Referee Dennis Higler allowed play to continue, but the video referee intervened and the Volendam player had to leave the field. The Volendammers lost 2-0 in Sittard and fell to last place in the Eredivisie.
Because the penalty has been lightened, Ould-Chikh can be used again next Friday in the relegation game against FC Emmen.
