Shortly after the half-time whistle in the game between his FC Bayern and FC Augsburg, Leroy Sané was involved in a push when going into the dressing room. Little is known about the reasons, unlike the course of events. After the game, Leon Goretzka, who saw the scene, commented. Sané “opponent” Mads Pedersen also commented.
In terms of sport, everything was already clear at half-time, but on the way to the dressing room there was obviously a need for discussion, which almost escalated, right in the middle: Leroy Sané. FC Bayern went into the break 2-0, an Augsburg own goal by Felix Uduokhai and – who else – Harry Kane ensured the clear score in the home game against FCA.
When the players wanted to go into the catacombs after referee Christof Günsch whistle, a casual conversation developed between Sané and Augsburg’s Mads Pedersen, which, however, quickly escalated, as live images on “DAZN” showed.
In the heated battle, Sané Pedersen finally pushed aside, and in his anger it was difficult for Bayern officials and FCA professional Elvis Rexhbecaj to keep him away from the Dane. What Pedersen said to Sané? So far unknown.
After the game, Leon Goretzka explained to “DAZN”: “I was ahead of him, but realized when he came in that he was good on fire. I would have to guess what it was about, but I don’t know if that makes sense .”
Pedersen: Against Sané you have to “play on the body”
Goretzka continued: “Such emotions are part of it, of course he must not allow himself to be carried away to any stupidity. He has to put up with a lot on the pitch, so I would – without having noticed everything – protect him.”
Coach Thomas Tuchel also commented on the scene. “That’s still in the green for me,” he said on “DAZN” when asked.
Most recently, the affected Pedersen himself waved it off. “Emotions run high, that’s football! Everything is fine between us, we clarified that after the game!” said the Augsburger after the game.
Pedersen even paid respect to Sané. “I know how much quality he has. You have to play the body a bit and block it,” said the Dane and joked: “Maybe we’ll meet in Munich sometime in the city and chat a little more.”
FC Bayern: Harry Kane hits and hits
Sané was substituted by Bayern coach Tuchel in the 70th minute after a good game, in which he hit the post after a notable flick. Mathys Tel came into play for the German international. Shortly before, Kane had made it 3-0 for Munich with his second goal on Sunday evening.
The 100 million man appeared after a pass from Alphonso Davies in the sixteen and was able to put the ball in the goal with the first contact and past Augsburg keeper Finn Dahmen in the goal.
Kane had previously scored a penalty for FC Bayern. Niklas Dorsch had touched the ball with his hand in the sixteenth, after a review by the video referee, Kane was allowed to start from the point and sank safely.
In the end, FC Bayern won 3-1 against FC Augsburg.
