Leonie ter Braak receives a flat hand from Angela de Jong in her face. The AD opinion diva is quite fed up with the presenter who has moved to RTL. “She’s really annoying.”
The PR wind is really against her: Leonie ter Braak. According to the men of Today Inside, she switched from SBS 6 to RTL 4 because she wanted to go for the content, but now she only appears in very strange programs about balloons and crazy videos. And she is also in the revival of the former TV hit Does He Do It or Does He Not.
Stupidly annoying
Leonie forms a panel with Jelka van Houten and Roué Verveer in this program, but it does not really appeal to Angela de Jong. “The bar could really be set a little higher than this kind of cheap crap that is really based on 25 other programs and which contains absolutely nothing original, with boring participants. So, I said it.”
Well, that’s tough. “Yes, annoying participants. Roué Verveer and Jelka and Leonie, yes, and I really don’t understand Leonie either. I mean: he was at SBS, at least he could still present HLF8 there, and now it is Best Viewers, this program and the Wehkamp commercials. I really think it is a loss of a promising television presenter.”
“It’s garbage!”
Colleague Marcus den Blanken agrees with that opinion, as can be heard in the AD Media podcast. “I agree with Angela. We may have different opinions about this program, but Leonie ter Braak, what she is now doing on RTL… Give that woman a normal program.”
Presenter Manuel Venderbos: “She only appears somewhere as a panel member and not as a presenter.”
On the tube
Angela thinks ‘Does he do it or doesn’t he do it’ is really very bad. She points out that there is an editing error in the first episode, because at one point host Ruben Nicolai talks about something that would happen “every week” during filming. In other words: this is a later recording that was used as the premiere episode.
Really amateurish, Angela concludes. “I really had the idea: even RTL thinks it’s too much of a task to watch this rubbish, so they just threw it on the air.”
