One of the best jujutsu masters of all time Leonardo Lo33, has died tragically from a police bullet.
BBC says that Lo was shot in the head in a nightclub in São Paulo, Brazil. He was allegedly shot by an off-duty police officer.
Lo was taken to the hospital, where he was declared permanently brain dead hours later, says the athlete’s family’s lawyer.
According to local media, Lo was hanging out with his friends at a nightclub until the shooter approached him. Witnesses said that the off-duty policeman started behaving threateningly with a glass bottle.
Lo restrained him and told him to disappear from the place. After that, the police drew a gun and shot Lot in the forehead.
The police have launched an investigation. The perpetrator is still on the run.
