The giant scarf first went viral in 2012. Now he is presenting it at the start of autumn and TikTok.
It’s officially fall. That means thick sweaters, warm drinks and cozy scarves. This is also the opinion of Lenny Kravitz, who made his TikTok debut on September 23rd to coincide with the beginning of autumn. Included is his oversized scarf, which has already gone viral.
In 2012, the first paparazzi photos appeared showing the singer wearing the XL knitted item for a walk. The width of the scarf was more like a wool blanket and the brown fringes reached down to the ankles. Since then, the accessory has been picked apart as a joke on social media. But the rock musician stands by the piece confidently. “The guy who made the scarf is to blame. He made this scarf and gave it to me. And that was the day I thought I was going to unpack it,” Kravitz defended his outfit choice in a 2018 interview with “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon.
Now the singer is using the gigantic piece of knitting for himself. Combined with a leather jacket and sunglasses, the 59-year-old walks outdoors in his new – and so far only – TikTok clip and casually says to the camera: “Take your big scarf, it’s the first day of autumn.” What you can hear from Lenny Kravitz ‘ Account can expect anything else is unclear.
