Lenita Airisto’s news and thoughts will be heard today in the Kesäterassi discussion program.
The conversations between Airisto, who has become known as a non-fiction writer, lecturer and television journalist, and host Antero Mertaranna sidestep a lot of what appeared in the spring and winter Good news from the witch – book.

Mertaranta asks Airisto what defending himself has meant in his life.
– The fact that he defends his own reputation. After all, a woman’s reputation is the first to be destroyed. She is made a “bad woman”.
In Airisto’s opinion, there has been an attempt to ruin his own reputation so that the work he has done could be invalidated.
However, since achievements cannot be taken away, people cling to personalities and weak points instead.
Airisto says that ever since Bible times, there have been attempts to take fame away from women.
– There were no women there to write it.
Airisto is known as a long-term advocate of women’s rights. Mertaranta asks if he ever felt like giving up.
– This is a good question. I wouldn’t say it to give up, but “timing is everything”, Airisto answers.
He elaborates that it is important to come out with your case at the right time.
Especially Good news from the witch – after the publication of the book, many have come to ask Airisto why he didn’t talk about things as soon as they happened.
In his book, Airisto tells, among other things, how Spede Pasanen tried to rape her after the interview.
– There are times when things fall on deaf ears, he says.
Mertaranta and Airisto also discuss the importance of women’s education for the future.
Airisto says that he instructed women to study men’s logic, because it is straightforward, rude and has a sense of self-worth.
– Because you won’t get anywhere by humiliating yourself.
