The jubilant cup winners from RB Leipzig wet their coach late in the evening – and probably caused technical problems.
After the 2-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt, the football professionals stormed the press conference with Marco Rose and poured beer from huge glasses over the 46-year-old.
“German Cup Winner!” sang the RB players and happily took off again. Soaking wet, Rose initially continued his interrupted answer, only the technology in the media room of the Olympic Stadium did not work, the microphones were no longer powered.
The Leipzig coach gave a few more answers in an impromptu media round in front of the cameras and then started a long night of partying. “We packed the cherry on top today. The boys deserve it. Now we’re looking forward to a cool party tonight here in Berlin and tomorrow in Leipzig,” said Rose.
