Leiden gets asylum seekers center for 400 refugees | NOW

An empty office building between Haagse Schouwweg and Plesmanlaan will provide space for three to four hundred asylum seekers over the next five years. Mayor Lenferink announced this. The Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) will rent the property from developer Johan Oudendal in the coming years.

The aim is to make the building suitable for housing all the refugees COA wants to accommodate by the end of the year. Within a few weeks, the first hundred asylum seekers will come to the Haagse Schouwweg. It concerns the refugees who are still being accommodated in the 3 Octoberhal.
