Legero United restructures leadership team

The Austrian shoe manufacturer Legero United, which owns the brands Superfit, Legero and Think! belong to, has also restructured its management team as part of its restructuring. In future, all executives will be involved even more closely in the company’s key strategic developments.

Legero United owner and CEO Stefan Stolitzka points out that the success of the company, which achieved its highest turnover to date with 217 million euros and almost 6.7 million pairs of shoes sold, is a team effort. “We have a strong team of competent managers who work closely with the management. Many of the colleagues have been with the company for years and have grown into their roles with commitment and know-how.”

Anna Carbonari, Regional Sales Manager for the DACH region and e-commerce, is in close contact with the management, as is Julia Knapitsch, who is responsible for Human Resources, Business Analytics and Marketing, or the heads of the Superfit, Legero and Think!.

Involve leaders more

“In terms of an agile organization with short paths, great freedom of action and development and quick decisions, we want to involve our managers even more closely in the company’s key strategic developments in the future,” explains Stolitzka.

Together with COO Morten Bay Jensen, he will lead the management of Legero United and work closely with the respective division heads. Kristin Käpplinger, who joined the company in 2017 and most recently held the management position, will leave the company at her own request. “We wish her all the best for her future,” says Stolitzka.

Legero United is focusing on sustainability for the future and published a sustainability report for the first time last year. It also has a company-wide eco database, which was awarded the environmental management prize for the best environmental and climate protection measure by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Protection and the Environment.

The sustainable shoe brand Think! achieved the top spot in a survey of specialist dealers in the sustainability category and the Think! model Hauki was nominated for the Green Product Award.

The company’s own development platform for sustainable materials, VIOS, was established in 2013. “With the VIOS Restricted Substance List, it places much higher limit value requirements than the legislator or quality seal do,” says Legero United. The company also participates in the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) and has set itself the goal of being carbon neutral by 2030.
