The annual general meeting of French technology company Lectra, held on April 28, elected two new board members, Karine Calvet and Pierre-Yves Roussel, for a four-year term. Both will become members of the Strategy Committee, replacing Bernard Jourdan, Lead Director, and Anne Binder. Karine Calvet also becomes a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee.
Lectra is one of the leading technology providers for industry-specific software and hardware solutions in Europe and works, among other things, on the digitization and automation of clothing production. With the new strategic roadmap for 2023 to 2025, the group intends to use its expansion – notably through the acquisition of Gerber in June 2021 – to accelerate its growth, significantly increasing the share of SaaS (Software as a Service) in its sales and seize opportunities for external growth.
Pierre-Yves Roussel has been CEO of the US fashion label Tory Burch since January 2019. The investment banker started his career at McKinsey & Company in France, among others, before becoming a member of the Executive Committee of the LVMH Group. In 2006 he was appointed Chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group before moving to Tory Burch, a private family business founded by his wife.
Karine Calvet comes from the IT industry and is Vice-President EMEA and responsible for the Partners at Aveva, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric.
Daniel Harari, President and CEO of Lectra, said at the Annual General Meeting: “We are delighted to welcome Karine Calvet and Pierre-Yves Roussel to Lectra’s Board of Directors. Karine Calvet has an excellent knowledge of the IT and industrial sectors as well as in-depth expertise in strategy, management and sustainable development. For his part, Pierre-Yves Roussel has an in-depth knowledge of the fashion and luxury markets, as well as expertise in strategy, management and corporate governance.”
Lectra recorded a turnover of 522 million euros in 2022.
