Leco van Zadelhoff gets a slap on the wrist: ‘Hang on? Do not!’

Leco van Zadelhoff gets a slap on the wrist after his somewhat sour reaction to the gossip about his powder muse Leontine Ruiters. “Don’t throw horns at it, don’t!”

Leontine Ruiters has recently become associated with laziness. A renowned Yvonne Coldeweijer spy has revealed that Marco Borsato’s ex-wife is in bed every day until at least 1 p.m., which is very unusual for an adult woman. It would lead to a lot of irritation with her new lover John Huiberts.

Unprofessional

In any case, there is one person who should know, namely Leontine’s bestie Leco van Zadelhoff. The mascara magician was called about it by a journalist from Nieuwe Revu and he reacted very irritated. He quickly decided to end the conversation: “Sorry I can’t help you any further, but we’ll leave it at that.”

Jan Uriot, after Evert Santegoeds the most important man of the weekly magazine Privé, thinks this is unprofessional. He says in the podcast Strictly Private: “Leco van Zadelhoff was asked about it by a journalist, like: ‘Is that true?’, and so on, and then he hangs up the phone. That is also such a very annoying thing.”

“NEVER do this!”

As someone who has been in showbiz for a little over seventy years, Jan knows that such a reaction is just clumsy. It creates bad blood, he explains. “Never throw horns at it, never walk away from interviews, just answer.”

How could Leco have handled this better? “Why doesn’t he just say, ‘Yes, but that’s why she’s so beautiful. That’s her beauty sleep!’ Yes, right? That’s what I would say. Come up with a nice answer and don’t throw horns at it. We shouldn’t do that!”

‘Well, isn’t it delicious’

Incidentally, Jan has no problem with it if Leontine actually lies in her bed until 1 p.m. every day. “Well, isn’t it delicious, for her? It’s nonsense isn’t it? Let that woman sleep well. Fine, right?”

Mark Koster, the co-host of Yvonne’s podcast, finds it objectionable. “Get out of bed and read a book or something,” he roars in Nieuwe Revu. “People who are in bed until 1 p.m. do not count. It’s very personal, but lazy people who lie in bed all morning: I can’t stand it.”
