HPK–Jukurit – Pekka Jormakka and the young people took responsibility

Mikkelin Jukurit, who parked their bus at Hämeenlinna’s Knight Arena, opened the game strongly and took it under the command of the youth section Joni Jurmon and recovered from the flu Niko Huuhtanen with goals. The head coach Jarno Pikkarainen the speeches at the break clearly woke up the home team, as the Club rose to the levels until the Jukurien’s konkar Pekka Jormakka took the people of Southern Savonia into the lead again.

In the third period, the head coach Olli Jokinen got excited whether Jukurit can withstand HPK, the home crowd and the Canadian powerhouse Michael Jolyn pressure. Quickly called to Mikkeli, injured Markus Ruusun fixer Karolus Kaarlehto continued his confident moves and kept a clean sheet in the final set. Final result 2–3.

Mikkeli had lost the last nine meetings in Hämeenlinna. However, the tribesmen proved that no one can beat them ten times in a row and took the points with them for the first time since 2017.

TPS–Pelicans – Lassi Lehtinen 18 saves

Lukko–JYP – Jyväskylä’s good start turned into an ugly defeat

The people of Rauma spent the first half of the game giving mercy to the visiting JYP. In the first set, the players from Jyväskylä kept up well with the hosts and also took the lead Robert Rooban with a man-of-the-match goal. Then Luko’s golden helmet entered the picture Andrei Hakulinen. “Uma” tied the game, was the pitcher for the next two goals and then scored another hit. The latter goal was a real show of skill when the man directed Matt Abt I drew a line effortlessly to the upper corner.

The final score was 5-1. Harri Kainulainen punished the JYP defense for a mistake at the end of the game. Thus, Lukko gets his revenge for the 5-2 loss two weeks ago.

JYP’s season has been difficult. Sami Nikulla and the Jyväskylä club, which started the season with new coaching, has won only two of its seven matches. The league standings are in line with that, and the team finds itself in 11th place.

Ilves–Kärpät – unlucky bounces killed by the people of Oulu

A goal rush was not expected from the top fight in the league, and in the end there was none, when the evening at the Nokia Arena ended with the Tampere people celebrating with a score of 3-1.

The puck bounced unluckily for Ilves in the first two goals of Oulu. Tommi Tikka was able to sail into the free goal after first getting possession of the loose puck and gave the hosts the lead. A moment later, Kärppien’s Teemu Turunen directed Matias Mäntykivin hard pass to own cage. However, Turunen corrected his mistake, narrowing the game, but Joona Ikonen an empty net goal decided the fate of the points once and for all.

Ilves is in the top spot of the SM league. It has lost only once in its seven matches. Kärpi’s loss was the first of the season.
