On Saturday, the Ilves captain Emeli Finland a Pelicans player who was ejected for tackling Ben Blood did not receive a suspension from the League’s disciplinary delegation.

Discipline announced its decision on Sunday evening. Discipline interprets that Finland caused a dangerous situation with its own movement and Blood, who was preparing for a tackle, did not have time to properly react to it.

– The disciplinary delegation states that, based on the video recording, Finland tries to turn or brake in the direction of the puck that is slightly behind and in this context loses her balance as a result of the left skate bumping, the decision says.

– The delegation notes that Blood’s activities do not cause a loss of balance in Finland.

Finland was injured in the collision and could not continue the match. Ilves announced on Sunday that the attacker is doing well considering the situation.

Pelicans and Ilves meet again on Thursday in Tampere. The semifinal series is tied 1–1.
