Leader Hoogeveen makes short work of closing the gates

Machine

SDO managed to score from a very poorly defended corner, among other things, and the team from Bussum even tied the score again with a score of 2-2. Just before half time, Ben Ali Ahlaq managed to give Hoogeveen the lead again, but the halftime score of 3-2 does not seem a good reflection of the proportions.

After the break, Hoogeveen put things in order. An adjustment to the line-up resulted in more peace in the formation and as a result the scoring machine got going. Jamai Kriekjes scored twice and Joost Screever also took a hit. Hoogeveen thus determined the final score at 6-2. The score could have been higher, but two goals by Noah Schuurman were disallowed for offside.

Sloppy out

“We could have easily scored eight or nine goals here,” Haak is convinced. “We miss a number of good opportunities, but the two goals that were disallowed were not offside in my opinion. In the end we show that we are the better team, but those sloppiness with which we concede two goals must be eliminated against better teams. Too often we look for the nice solution instead of the most effective. And even a team at the bottom of the big league really knows how to play over and counter. In the second half we were still a bit syrupy in the new line-up, but in the end we’ll be fine.”

position

With three points in his pocket, Hoogeveen now stands on 34 points from 15 games. That is four points more than Be Quick 1887, which has played one game less. Hoogeveen will play the derby against VV Emmen next week.
