Before the second leg in the premier class, Lazio and Bayern botched their dress rehearsals. The Italians even experienced a card madness.
Bayern’s next opponent, Lazio Rome, suffered a late defeat and three sendings off ahead of the Champions League round of 16 second leg. Lazio lost 0-1 (0-0) at home against AC Milan on Friday evening, Noah Okafor scored the winning goal for Milan in the 88th minute.
After Luca Pellgrini was shown a yellow-red card (57th minute), the hosts were already outnumbered at this point. In stoppage time there were red cards for Adam Marusic and former Hertha professional Mattéo Guendouzi.
Lazio remains in eighth place after 27 match days, Milan moved within one point of second-placed Juventus. In Munich next Tuesday, the Romans want to defend their 1-0 lead from the first leg. In their dress rehearsal on Friday, FC Bayern couldn’t get past a 2-2 draw at SC Freiburg.
