Lazio: in the crosshairs the talents of Empoli, Fazzini, Parisi, Guarino

The name of Tommaso Baldanzi, born in 2003, had already been delivered to the coach last year. This season the playmaker has exploded, entering the crosshairs of the big names. As a role, however, Sarri’s attentions were directed rather towards Jacopo Fazzini. The twenty-year-old from Massa, who grew up in the youth sectors of Viareggio and Capezzano Pianore, arrived at Empoli in 2017. He is a midfielder capable of playing across the pitch and this peculiarity has taken hold of Sarri. Very dynamic. He is skilled at getting into tight spaces as well as advancing with the ball. In the championship that has just ended, he made a total of 21 appearances (one also in the Italian Cup): eight times as a starter. From 1′ also on the last day of Serie A: in the home match against Lazio, Fazzini played as a central attacking midfielder in Zanetti’s 4-2-3-1. In Sarri’s 4-3-3 he could be inserted as an inside player, but the coach considers him capable of acting as a low top too. Certainly, the potential of him is very intriguing. He has renewed with Empoli until 2027 and has just been called up to Nicolato’s Under 21 squad. His name could be included in the negotiation that Empoli will enter into with Lazio to redeem Akpa Akpro.

Since last year, Fabiano Parisi has been in Sarri’s sights. The Empoli full-back, born in 2000, had been identified as a solution for the Biancocelesti’s left lane. Then, for various reasons, the track for the 22-year-old from Solofra was set aside, but not cancelled. Now, with another two-year contract with the Tuscan club, Parisi (58 appearances in Serie A, 33 of which in the last championship) has a quotation that exceeds ten million euros and various requests.
