In the first leg of the last 16 of the UEFA Europa Conference League, AZ Alkmaar defeated Lazio 2-1 away.
The last 16 rounds of the tournament started with the match played at the Rome Olympic Stadium between the Italian representative Lazio and the Netherlands’ AZ Alkmaar team.
In the fight, where the home team took the lead 1-0 with a goal by Pedro Rodriguez in the 18th minute, AZ Alkmaar secured the draw with Vangelis Pavlidis shaking the net in the 45th minute and the first half ended 1-1.
The Dutch representative blew up the nets again with Milos Kerkez in the 62nd minute and won the match 2-1 in which he fell back and achieved an advantageous score before the rematch.
