Armand Duplantis does not bend.
The man won the Oslo Diamond League with a score of 601. The height of 612 was too much for the man.
– I haven’t made many changes since last season because I know what makes me good. I know my strengths, so I focus on them. It’s not easy, but I feel that everything is going technically right, the man representing Sweden commented at a press conference on Wednesday.
Duplantis received 10,000 US dollars (about 9,135 euros) for the Diamond League competition win.
Last year, Duplantis crossed six meters a massive 22 times. He won, among other things, the World Championship and European Championship gold.
– I have a good feeling with the wings. It’s like a nice dance, but not playing. I still feel like I have more fuel in the tank and I can jump into something big.
“Mondo” has won all seven of his races this season, when the indoor season is also taken into account.
The previous loss is from the Brussels Diamond League last season, when he fell to a height of 581 and the Philippines John Obina went over 591. Obiena was third in Oslo on Thursday (581). A Yankee jumped into second place Christopher Nilsen (591).
In 2021, Duplantis lost two races.
Duplantis ME has 621 on the outdoor tracks and 622 in the hall.
