The Utah Jazz are trying to build a winning team Lauri Markkanen about.

The Finn will probably get a significant salary increase in the coming summer, which for his part will make construction work even more challenging. That’s when the Jazz’s salary cap starts to drop already on the heads of the starting five.

Wednesday saw the first game move when the Detroit Pistons bought the Jazz Simone Fontecchio. The small winger from Pescara has performed quite cheerfully this season, even though he is not directly an opening player.

Fontecchio’s stats with the Jazz show averages of 8.9 points and 3.5 rebounds. With an average playing time of 23 minutes, these are the numbers of a player. In addition, Fontecchio has shot more than 39 percent from behind the three-point arc.

In the trade, the Jazz got the right to reserve the second round and two quite fascinating players. Kevin Knox was the first-round draft of the New York Knicks in 2018. And although his career hasn’t quite taken off, the 24-year-old small forward has time to develop.

At the same time, Jazz got the rights to a top talent still playing in Europe Gabriele to Procida.

The NBA’s transfer window for this season closes the night before Friday, Finnish time. According to rumors, Jazz would possibly be listening to offers at least Kelly from Olynyk and possibly also About Jordan Clarkson.

Markkanen’s position in Salt Lake City is cemented, at least for now.
