When ESPN reported on Facebook Lauri Markkanen about the upcoming int gig, several basketball fans arrived worriedly to comment on the news.

– I pray that he stays safe and returns to play next season.
Judging by the comments, a surprising number of people in the United States imagine that the NBA star is now going to war. So the amused Finns decided to calm down the worried ones.
– He is not going to war, he is just training.
– FYI: Finland is not at war. Calm down, friends.
– He will not be thrown to any front line.
Markkanen will start his military service on Monday at the Defense Forces Sports School in Santahamina.
