The NBA club Utah Jazz is signing a top player of John Collinsreported The Athletic based on their sources.
The Jazz, represented by Lauri Markkanen, send Rudy Gay and a backup to the Atlanta Hawks in a trade.
Collins, 25, still has three years left on a five-year deal that runs through 2021. The value of the deal is 78 million dollars.
In this way, Jazz gets a versatile player next to Markkanen.
Collins averaged 13.1 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Hawks last season. The club booked Collins in the 19th round in 2017 and the forward developed into one of the best players in his Eastern Conference slot.
According to The Athletic, the Jazz have been interested in Collins’ services for over a year. The club is not excited about the size of Collins’ contract, but believes the player fits well with the team and its game system.
