Rob Goossens and two media friends have presented an award to what they believe is the worst program and the worst presenter of the year. The RTL Boulevard star chose Lauren Verster and in the jury report he writes her down terribly. He is talking about a failed peripheral figure.

Lauren responds

The attack is not only brutal, but also unexpected. Lauren does not indeed make television for the masses and has been a bit overrated for a long time, but is she really the worst presenter on TV?

Lauren responds Show news with a sneer at Rob. “I feel honored. A prestigious award from a prestigious journalist! Could he have won the Nipkow disk himself?”

‘A bit sour’

Evert Santegoeds finds that response a bit harsh, he says. “Hm, a bit sour. But Peter Gillis (Evert’s new best friend, ed.) did respond nicely. He just said, ‘Well, come over and I’ll take it.’”

The new showbiz expert Eline de Ruig understands Lauren. “I actually just think it’s a really stupid price. I don’t really understand why people should get this prize, but whatever.”

Wink

Rob said in RTL Boulevard that we should not take the price so seriously. “To be clear: please also take this award with a big wink.”

Colleague Luuk Ikink: “There are three people on the jury, including you. Hahaha. And two girlfriends.”

Rob: “Yes. And now?! What is your point? I could have done it on my own!”

Beautiful woman

Rob emphasizes that he thinks Lauren is pretty. “It’s not because we don’t like her and it’s certainly not because we don’t think she’s pretty, because she’s one of the most beautiful women on television.”

Colleague Clarice Stenger: “And she’s not that bad at all, Rob.”

Rob: “Her programs are not worth it and that is ultimately the objective criterion that we hold everyone to.”

Edges of the night

Clarice: “You couldn’t think of anyone worse than Lauren Verster?!”

Rob concludes falsely: “Well, there are even worse things broadcast at night, but if no one watches it, I don’t think it’s worth the price.”
