A new version of the final text of the climate summit in Dubai has been shared. It calls for “a transition away from fossil energy”. The text must still be submitted for approval in a plenary session. The proposal does not yet go as far as the European Union said it wanted in advance. There is nothing in the text about phasing out fossil fuels: oil states such as Saudi Arabia oppose this.
