SC Paderborn has returned to the promotion race in the 2nd Bundesliga.
After the heavy home defeat against Holstein Kiel (0:4), coach Lukas Kwasniok’s team won 2:1 (1:1) at newly promoted SV Wehen Wiesbaden on Friday evening (February 23, 2024) and jumped to fifth place, at least temporarily.
Wiesbaden has now been winless four times in a row
Franko Kovacevic gave Wiesbaden the lead (30th minute), then Paderborn turned the game around. Koen Kostons (39th) equalized before the break, Filip Bilbija scored in the final phase to win (82nd). Wiesbaden remained without a win for the fourth time in a row and has to look down. There is a risk of falling to 14th place in the table.

The SCP now continues with a home game against SC Magdeburg on Sunday a week from now (March 3rd, 2024) at 1:30 p.m. At the same time, Wehen Wiesbaden competes against SV Elversberg.
