Last night, vandalism to cars took place in various places in Drenthe. As far as is currently known, the windows of a total of eight cars at four carpool places in Drenthe were smashed. The police received the first report between 6:30 and 7:00 this morning.
At carpool places Gieten P+R and Eelde/De Punt, three cars were both targeted for destruction. Two cars were also damaged at P+R Assen Zuid and Bareveld/Wildervank N33.
The police are currently investigating whether it concerns burglaries or vandalism. The police are also taking into account the scenario that there is a connection between the destruction.
“We take this very seriously and ask all victims to report the vandalism. We also do not yet know whether we have an image of every destroyed car,” says a police spokesperson.
