LAST MINUTE – Women’s National Wrestling Team is the European champion! – Breaking Wrestling news



The women’s competitions came to an end at the European Wrestling Championship held in Hungary. Having won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in Budapest, Turkey became the European champion as a team with 140 points.


Efraim Kahraman, the coach of the Women’s National Wrestling Team, received the championship trophy.


While Turkey became the European champion in seniors for the first time in its history with 140 points in women, Ukraine took the second place with 135 points and Bulgaria took the third place with 110 points.


MEDALS EARNED
Evin Demirhan Yavuz and Yasemin Adar Yiğit won gold, Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu silver and Bediha Gün bronze medals in the championship. Zeynep Yetgil, Elvira Kamaloğlu and Yağmur Çakmak also placed fifth.


Defeating Estonian Epp Maee in the women’s 76 kg final, Yasemin won the 5th European championship in her career.


Evin, who defeated Bulgarian Miglena Georgieva Selishka with the button in the 50 kilo final, experienced the joy of winning the European championship for the first time in seniors.
