LAST MINUTE – TFF lifted the ban on away fans! – Last minute Super League news



Turkish Football Federation (TFF) made important decisions before the new season. Accordingly, the ban on away spectators in the Super League in the 2022-23 season was lifted and it was decided to establish the Reserve League.


The explanation is as follows:
1. It has been decided to establish the Reserve League in the 2022-2023 Football Season.


Accordingly, Reserve League competitions; With the participation of our 19 clubs in the Super League, it will be organized according to the Super League fixtures and to be played on the same day as the A Team matches.


In Reserve League competitions, all domestic and foreign players (35) in the A Team List of the Clubs will be able to play.


During the season, there will be no restrictions or limitations between the club’s Professional A Team and the Reserve Team in terms of transfer of players.


Other matters relating to the Reserve League will be announced in Reserve League status.


2. With the 2022-2023 Football Season, the ban on away spectators in the Super League was lifted.


In addition, with the written approval of the host clubs, the visiting team and the decision of the Provincial or District Sports Safety Board, the visiting team spectator capacity, which was 10% at most, was increased to 30%. Home clubs will still be required to reserve at least 5% of the stadium seating capacity for visiting team spectators. In addition, if the two clubs agree and the Provincial or District Sports Safety Boards approve, the visiting team stands can be used by the host clubs.
