Aitor Esteban clarifies that the management of Social Security “is in the package” of matters agreed upon by PNV and PSOE
The PNV spokesperson in the Congress of Deputies, Aitor Esteban, has assured that the management of the Social Security Economic Regime “is in the package” of matters that the PNV-PSOE agreement plans to transfer to Euskadi in two years. At a press conference in Bilbao, to explain the pact between both parties to guarantee the investiture of Pedro Sánchez as President of the Government, Esteban clarified the statements of the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, who assured that “he has not singled out nothing” regarding this transfer in the document signed with the PNV. The PNV spokesperson in the Lower House has indicated that, although the transfer of this matter “not singled out, is in this package, it is within a period of two years.” “But it is, it was the one that the Government had put last (in the transfer schedule), but it is in this list that they commit to in the agreement,” he specified. For Esteban, “putting this competition into three months would not make any sense,” because it is “complicated” and “it would not be realistic to say it, it is more complex.” “The negotiations are complex, it is not simple and it must be refined,” he said.
