The equality index for Extremaduran women is 71 out of 100, after falling six points in the last decade
The Synthetic Index of Gender Inequality is found at 71.3 out of 100 in Extremadura, this figure being the one that marks equality between men and women, in such a way that lower values reflect an unfavorable situation for them.
This is the index in which it was found in 2020, after advancing almost six points since 2010, when it was at 65.4, which means that inequality has been reduced in this period, as stated in the report on the Synthetic Index of Gender Inequality (ISDG) prepared by the Statistics Institute of Extremadura, which offers a measure of the situation of inequality between women and men in various fields.
