Around 520,000 9-euro tickets have already been sold in Berlin. Since more passengers than usual are expected, the BVG reacts.

► The subway lines 6 and 9 will have an additional train in the morning from June 8th. In addition, more security personnel will be deployed at the subway stations.

► From June 13, the S-Bahn lines 1, 3 and 5 will run one hour longer at intervals of 5 to 10 minutes. The S1 takes passengers from Zehlendorf to Wannsee and vice versa every 10 minutes until 10 p.m.

► The VBB is extending the trains to Prenzlau and Neustrelitz (RE 3 and RE 5) and is relying on an additional ODEG excursion train to Greifswald and Stralsund from mid-June.
