YÖK (Higher Education Institution) announced that the opening of the spring education and training period in all higher education institutions has been postponed until a second announcement.
In his statement on his social media account, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, “Due to the earthquake disaster we experienced, we decided to extend the break we took from education until 20 February in Turkey. Because all our volunteer teachers in Turkey are in the earthquake zone. Tens of thousands of our teachers are in the field. In order not to disrupt this process, we are extending the semester break until February 13 in 71 provinces in Turkey for one more week. In other words, education will begin in 71 provinces as of February 20,” he said.
EXTENDED TO APRIL 3
The Ministry of National Education has extended the first registration and registration renewal procedures for the 2nd term of the 2022-2023 academic year, until the end of the working hours of April 3, Open Education Secondary School, High School, Imam Hatip High School and Vocational Open Education High School.
