Last live album “At Royal Albert Hall” is coming

Gordon Lightfoot’s last live record, “At Royal Albert Hall”, will be released on July 14th. The country and folk musician died of natural causes on May 1, 2023 at the age of 84. The LP is an unedited recording of his 2016 performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. A representative for the musician says that in the weeks leading up to his death, Lightfoot was adamant that the album be released as soon as possible.

It features many of his biggest hits such as “If You Could Read My Mind”, “Early Morning Rain” and “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”. Also, songs that have never been released on a live album, such as “Beautiful” and “Don Quixote,” are performed by Rick Haynes on bass, Barry Keane on drums, Mike Heffernan on keys, and Carter Lancaster on guitar.
