Enjoying the last day of Paaspop. The sun is shining, the beer is flowing freely and with performances by, among others, Flemming and Kensington, everyone goes crazy.
Roos and Silvie from Sint Oedenrode are visibly enjoying themselves. “We have been coming to Paaspop for about fifteen years. Especially for the atmosphere. We had really missed it in the past two years. It takes some getting used to, this crowds. But the atmosphere is now there. We can’t wish for the start of the festival season.”
Lars and Noud from Mariaheide mainly come to see bands play. Noud says enthusiastically: “We were at The Vipers yesterday and tonight we are going to Kensington. It is wonderful to see how happy all the artists are to be able to play for an audience again.” Lars and Noud are now here for the third day. But they still look remarkably fresh. Their secret: “If you have a hangover quickly drink a beer. And just have a lot of fun, that gives you energy.”
A little further on, a girl is sleeping against a party tent. Her energy is clearly gone. When we ask her if she is no longer used to partying for three days, she wakes up with a start. Laughing, she shakes her head.
Ties from Schijndel is at Paaspop with his entire group of friends. He can’t believe his luck. “It’s great it’s possible again, great.” When asked which artists he has seen, he must not answer. “I mainly come for the fun. I haven’t seen any performances yet, just drank beer. But it’s great!”
Daan from Zijtaart has visited several performances. “Absolutely great, there are good artists” he exults. “This is the first year for me to go to festivals and this is the very first. And it definitely leaves me wanting more. If all festivals are like this then it will be fine!”
