Want to celebrate New Year’s Eve together with fellow citizens? Then you have to be in the center of Zoetermeer on Sunday, December 31. The municipality has planned two laser shows on the Market.

Last year the fireworks show was canceled due to bad weather conditions. To prevent this from happening again, but also for safety reasons, lasers were chosen.
Parties and music
According to the municipality, the two laser shows are spectacular and adapted to the music. Children and their parents are welcome at 7 p.m. at the Market for the first laser show. At 11:30 PM everyone is welcome to count down together to 2024. At midnight we can enjoy the second laser show and celebrate the new year.
Preferably a fireworks ban
Mayor Michel Bezuijen says he is happy with the laser shows: “I would like to see a fireworks ban in Zoetermeer, but that is only possible if a national ban applies. All emergency services and additional hospital staff must be ready, just for this one day. The city suffers unnecessary damage and fireworks are not environmentally friendly.”
