This weekend, the Gouverneurstuin in Assen marks the start of the cultural and culinary season in our provincial capital. That happens during Preuvenement.
A normal edition of the event could not be held for two years because of corona. The organization is therefore immediately launching the largest edition ever, according to artistic director Emil Klok. “We have about thirty stands and more than fifty artists will be on three stages. The number of registrations is very high, so this is fantastic.”
The DNK Koepelpodium will feature Tim Knol & Blue Grass Boogiemen, Lucas Hamming and Lakshmi. “The Vijverpodium is more for local and regional talent,” explains Klok. “That really goes in all directions. From singer-songwriters, to a saxophone quartet and a punk band. At the Brink we have a stage for young talent. The Kunstbende is there and CLUB17 is playing tonight. That is more R&B and dance music.”
