It was the largest drug waste dump in the Netherlands ever: the drug pit in the Brabantse Wal nature reserve near Halsteren. Immediately after the discovery in early 2021, it was clear how immense the damage was. Gallons of toxic chemicals leaked into the ground, resulting in a completely destroyed forest.
