On August 25, 1942, about 600 Jews from all over Limburg had to report to a school on Professor Pieter Willemsstraat in Maastricht. Of those 600, some went into hiding and others received notes from their doctors that they could not work. In the end, 290 Jews, from Mook to Eijsden, reported to Maastricht that day.
