The large wildfire that has been raging on Tenerife since Wednesday morning has now spread over an area of about 800 hectares. The Canary Islands, of which Tenerife is a part, have been ravaged by a heat wave over the past week. Emergency services have warned that the drought has increased the risk of wildfires.
