The police have found a large warehouse for drug chemicals in Goirle. Thousands of liters of raw materials are stored there with which you can, among other things, make crystal meth, but also process cocaine.
A criminal investigation led the police to the discovery of the storage in a business premises on Vollerstraat. There are various types of raw materials. Each chemical is part of making a specific form of drug. Stuff has been found for cooking crystal meth, amphetamine and ecstasy, but also for preparing coke.
There would also be equipment inside for the construction of a drug lab, such as hoses or burners. According to the first reports, it is a large storage of at least 7,000 liters, but it is not a ‘record storage’.
Distribution centers
The underworld has its own warehouses that can best be compared to distribution centers. Criminals order a raw material. They then pick them up and take them to a drug lab where they use them to make drugs.
The police already found several storage places in the province this year: gas bottles in Tilburg but also chemical substances in Bergen op Zoom, Roosendaal and Bosschenhoofd.
Stocks
There is often a lot ready at the drug labs themselves. For example, this summer officers found so many supplies at the meth lab on Ettensebaan in Breda that it took four trucks to remove everything.
Last year, the police in Brabant discovered 29 illegal warehouses for drug raw materials.
Commonly used substances are hydrochloric acid, caustic soda and acetone. The problem with all these substances is that they are dangerous individually, but together they can also form a mixture that can explode. The neighbors and municipality don’t know anything and if something goes wrong, it is also dangerous for the fire brigade.
A specialized company cleans everything up. It is obvious that the mayor of Goirle will close the building for a long time.
