Large sizes are disappearing from the range

The Swedish fashion chain Monki is quietly saying goodbye to its oversize range. Several media outlets, including the Dutch newspaper De Standaard, wrote that demand for the H&M Group brand was too low.

Large sizes quietly disappeared from the range. Monki now only offers clothing in sizes between XXS and XL. “We are constantly testing, learning, adapting and refining our range,” a Monki company spokesman told De Standaard.

The reason for the abolition of the oversize collection was austerity measures. However, this is unexpected as Monki wants to present itself as a fashion brand for young girls, with body positivity and body awareness playing a major role.
