A large fire is raging in a boat shed on Binckhorstlaan in The Hague. Pleasure boats were stored in the old shed, which must be considered lost.
Around half past two, the fire brigade received a report of a fire in the shed behind the Fokker Terminal. The fire quickly spread and soon the whole building was on fire. The fire brigade scaled up to ‘very large fire’. Many fire brigade units have been deployed to prevent expansion to surrounding buildings.

The burning boat shed is located behind the Fokker Terminal and about a hundred boats were stored in the building, a spokesperson for the fire brigade reported. Explosions can be heard in the flames, these are exploding gas bottles. As far as is known, no one is present in the sheds and no one was injured.
The fire released a lot of smoke that passed over surrounding houses. The fire brigade is currently carrying out measurements.
