In a major police operation in Turkey, 23 people were arrested who have a link with the fugitive criminal Jos Leijdekkers from Breda. They are suspected of money laundering. That would have been earned with cocaine trafficking and other criminal activities, especially in the Netherlands.
According to Turkish media, cash, real estate and jewelry were seized during the operation. According to the AD, one of the arrested people would be a brother-in-law of Jos. Earlier this year, his father, mother and sister (27) were also arrested for money laundering. During house searches, money and expensive gifts were found.

Bolle Jos is one of the most serious criminals in Europe. He is suspected of large-scale trade, import and export of cocaine. He would also be involved in the death of Naima Jillal. She was active in the drug trade and disappeared in 2019 after getting into a car in Amsterdam. Intercepted crypto messages show that Jos played an important role in her disappearance.
