Around five o’clock on Friday morning, the fire service reported that it had scaled up the fire to a very large fire due to the poor accessibility of the area. The summoned units then moved over the edge of the area, preventing the fire from spreading further. A special team specializing in wildlife conservation later arrived to extinguish the smoldering remains in the area.

Nearly all the fire has now been extinguished. The fire brigade expects it to take about two hours to put out the last smoldering remains.
The fire brigades of Hellendoorn, Nijverdal, Holten, Wierden, Delden, Den Ham, Rijssen, Enter, Borne and Raalte have been called to help with extinguishing, the Tubantia reports.
