Today, thousands of people took to the streets in the Spanish capital Madrid to demonstrate against the amnesty for Catalan separatists promised by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. According to prefecture figures, 8,000 people took part in the demonstration. Organizers estimate the number of attendees at 15,000.
