Lantern Tower Concertgebouw named after honorary mayor Patrick Moenaert

The then mayor Patrick Moenaert of Bruges was one of the driving forces behind the Concertgebouw. 20 years later, the Concertgebouw and the city now name the Lantern Tower after Moenaert. “A beautiful tribute to the man who immediately brought Bruges into the 21st century with this Concertgebouw,” reads a commemorative plaque.
